Some thoughts on the color RED:

Art_profile.jpg

  • Red is a very powerful communicator.
  • Red strengthens strong images.
  • Red advances.  It is agressive, offensive.
  • Red represents and evokes both strong and contradictory emotions.
  • Red will mess with you emotionally.
  • I like Red, I use a LOT of it.

Before you begin:  A few people think my work to be a bit intimidating, some even profess fear, and I may secretly enjoy this...BUT it is not my intention to frighten or to dismantle you.  I only ask that you take the time to look, to think, and to pray.  It is good to question, to struggle, to grapple.  It is good to grow.  Wrestling for me looks a lot like painting.  Let art move you, let it shake you...cause God can use it to do so if you let Him.

Anyhow, most of my work focuses on the human form, color, and movement.  But there are three or so paintings (and drawings), which you will easily identify, which have stemmed from personal struggles, mental warfare, and my attempts to understand my Creator and His ways...His thoughts...His Word.

IMAGES JUST THERE...A BIT FURTHER DOWN...
